ScrubYa: A Fun and Innovative Soap Range for Children

Combining Hand Washing with Playfulness and Effectiveness

ScrubYa, created by Dollsy, is a soap range designed specifically for children to connect hand washing with fun and excitement. It breaks the usual hand washing boredom by transforming the everyday activity into a sensory experience. The soap combines the function of soap and luffa/sponge with the help of soft silicon bristles hidden within the soap.

With each use, ScrubYa reveals a playful pattern of animal stripes or spots, engaging a child's imagination and encouraging familiarity with diverse types of animals. The theme of animal patterns amuses the child and creates excitement in every wash. Not only do the soft silicon bristles scrub away dirt effectively, but they also provide a sensory experience for the child.

The design of ScrubYa is an evolution in the soap world. The soft silicon bristles, attached to a main stem located in the center of the soap, are gentle on children's skin and durable enough to scrub dirt in every wash. After finishing the soap, the silicon part can be used as a scrubber, extending the life of the product.

ScrubYa soap range is a result of research done in the field of health and personal hygiene for children. Good hand washing is the first line of defense against the spread of many illnesses, from the common cold to more serious infections. However, getting children to wash their hands properly can be a challenge. The design of ScrubYa addresses this challenge by making the activity engaging, playful, and effective.

The project idea for ScrubYa originated in Delhi and was realized in Haryana in January 2017. The soap range has dimensions of 110mm X 75mm X 30mm, making it suitable for children's hands.
